Autodrom Most is a 4.212 km (2.617 mi) long hard-surfaced race track located in the northwest of the Czech Republic, near the city of Most. The track was constructed between 1978 and 1983, although the Most district had a long history of hosting motorcycle and car races prior to the circuit's completion.
Before the current track was built, races were held on a temporary circuit around the former brewery in the old part of Most, with the first race taking place on May 25, 1947. Over time, racing moved into the streets of the city, and the most popular circuit became the one around the Stalingrad district in the new part of Most.
Prior to the opening of the modern Autodrom Most, 35 car and 22 motorcycle races were held in the city. The new circuit was constructed on the site of a former coal mine spoil heap, specifically the Vrbenský pit and the decision to build it was inspired by the success of past motorsport events in the area.
In 1995, the circuit was handed over to Autodrom Most s.r.o., which managed the track's renovation and promotion after several years of neglect. Over time, the venue underwent significant improvements, becoming a respected motorsport facility. The track is now used for a variety of events, including car, truck, and motorcycle races, free circuit rides, car testing, and driver training for emergency services.
Autodrom Most gained significant international attention when, in April 2021, it was announced that the circuit would be added to the Superbike World Championship calendar for a five-year period. In August 2021, it was also announced as a replacement circuit for the World Touring Car Racing (WTCR) series in the 2021 season.
Today, Autodrom Most is known for its challenging layout and modern amenities and continues to host a range of high-profile motorsport events, securing its place as a significant venue in European motorsport.
